Anand Prakash (b. 1981) received his B.F.A. from the University of Allahabad in 2006, and his M.F.A. from the University of Gwalior in 2013. His abstract metascape artworks draw from the mythical Saraswati river that is said to have its confluence with the Ganga and Yamuna in Allahabad, his native state. He describes his style as a fusion of geometrical abstraction and lyrical abstraction, where ideas take centrestage and are independent of form. Prakash has participated in exhibitions across India, and has been awarded the National Academy Award (2010).
