Malchand Pareek (b. 1976) received his B.F.A. and M.F.A. in Applied Art from the Rajasthan School of Art, Jaipur (1998, 2009). This series portrays architectural artworks of structures that stand out against subtle, plain backgrounds. The buildings are colourful yet quiet and are made up of bricks and segments that add texture and depth to the artworks. Pareek has held 2 solo shows and exhibited his artworks at the Jawahar Kala Kendra, Jaipur in 2008, 2012 and 2013. Malchand has won the State Award at the 52th Annual Art Exhibition by the Rajasthan Lalit Kala Akademi in Jaipur 2011.
