Satheesh Kanna was raised in Tiruchipally, Tamil Nadu. He was interested in art from a very young age which took precedence over his academic studies. He received his B.F.A. from the Government College of Art and Crafts in Kumbakonam, and his M.F.A. from Chennai. While creating his works, Satheesh starts from the basics - a line, a dot or geometrical form that lends a distinct character to his art. The artist has been a part of several exhibitions in Chennai, Hyderabad, New Delhi and others.
